JOSAN New York

JOSAN New York

We here at Cooper's, just love a gift that gives back. So, we adore Josan jewelry! Not only is every piece a miniature piece of artwork, the company is strongly committed to taking care of it's artists and giving back big time in humanitarian relief efforts. We learn so much from their website:

"September 2014. We said good bye to Maine, and moved to upstate New York. Our new company (Josan is Cantonese for “good morning”) is known for beautifully designed, featherweight earrings with sterling silver findings. Most pieces are still designed by the young stay-at-home mom we met years before. The jewelry changed a lot since our silver & turquoise days, but the way we sell it remains the same.

Each design in the Josan collection was personally selected by Steve and Tina Swift. Our jewelry is responsibly sourced from a Hong Kong manufacturer that provides clean and safe working conditions. We inspected the workplace and found that the boss is kind, the workers are happy, and most have been employed for many years. Josan jewelry is lead, nickel, cadmium free, contains small parts, and is not intended for children under 14. It is recommended that you do not polish the jewelry, as doing so will remove the protective coating."

Yung creates beautiful designs that are sold world wide. We first met Yung a few years ago, when she worked in an office in a production facility. Since then, she's been working from home, which she enjoys very much. Sometimes she volunteers at her son's school, and offers art lessons to the children. We're very happy to offer over 500 original designs from Yung's prolific collection, which she says are influenced by her interpretation of the newest styles in Paris and Milan.

We are so impressed with their philanthropy, just look at these beautiful faces!

We're helping build a playground! We partnered with Vietnam Relief Services two years ago when we lived in Maine. This will be our second playground project.

Having exceeded their fundraising goal for three basketball courts, chickens, and clean water, Vietnam Relief Services writes...

We Did It! - The kids are so excited!
Long time donors Steve and Tina Swift of Josan New York went above and beyond and fully funded the basketball court at the Ba Khe school to include a new 200m2 concrete pad to replace their existing dirt field! Please check out their amazing line of jewelry!
